Food, seasons, trends, culture, and the little things people see and talk about every day — you can read about them in Japanese at a level that works for you, from N5 to N2.
The goal is simple: not to feel like you’re studying, but to find something interesting, start reading, and realize you’ve been learning Japanese along the way.

I teach Japanese online, and I’ve noticed that there are plenty of great resources for learning grammar and vocabulary.
But when it comes to reading, it can be surprisingly hard to find simple Japanese content made for adults — especially about things that are actually happening in Japan right now.
I wanted to create a place where you can learn about Japanese culture, trends, food, seasons, and everyday life while enjoying the language at your own level.
Because I think learning a language is much easier to continue when you’re genuinely interested in what you’re reading.

I was born and raised in Japan, around the Tokyo area, and I teach Japanese online to learners from around the world.
I’m also learning English myself, so I know what it feels like to study another language — including the days when your brain simply says, “Nope.”
I’m also a mom of one, so a lot of the everyday Japan you’ll find here comes from real life: what people eat, where they go, what everyone is suddenly talking about, and how the seasons change the way we live.
